The Alabama Hills are a range of hills and rock formations near the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada in the Owens Valley, west of Lone Pine in Inyo County, California, United States. This area has beautiful views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and some famous photographs have been made here. I often stay in the small town of Lone Pine and drive 100 miles or so to Death Valley. It’s an easy and fun photographic trip that one can comfortably do in 3-4 days.
