A particularly dramatic morning with harsh shadows because of the low sunlight I was able to make this photograph before the tourists arrived . It was my first visit to Death Valley with a camera. It was overwhelming. There are so many photographic opportunities with little time to make them before the sun rose high in the sky making the light “less flattering” to make photographs.
